Our Story

A couple years ago, in the midst of life’s unpredictable journey, I found myself facing an evil dragon that came to challenge my very existence. The battle was fierce, marked by lots of tears and pain that tested the very core of my being. 

I have always loved wearing colorful sarees for festivals and special occasions. During this arduous journey however, I felt as if my life was devoid of any color. As I fought my long battle, I felt surrounded by darkness and that reflected in what I wore.

It was during this time that I stumbled upon the idea of fairytaleflats.com – exquisitely embroidered, colorful shoes. Inspired by the traditional jutti shoes worn by women in North India for centuries.  These beautiful shoes can be slipped on quickly to add a dash of color to your outfit.

Hello, lovely ladies! I’m Sonali, the storyteller behind fairytaleflats.com, a shoe brand that weaves magic into every step.

The vision was clear: to create a beautiful and purposeful product. We worked with various designers to select embroidery patterns that would look good on shoes. Re-designed the traditional jutti flats to a more modern shape. We paid attention to making our shoes comfortable for long hours of wear.

The long battle I fought has left its scars, but it also ignited a fire within me – helping others going through similar battles. We pledge that a portion of every purchase from Fairytaleflats.com goes towards supporting fellow princesses in their battles against breast cancer.
